1. Q: Is there a fee to participate?
A: No, the services we provide are free of charge.

2. Q: Is it difficult to participate?
A: Not at all. It is a well-organized process and is very simple to implement. We provide you with all the materials you need. We have Think Recycle associates who are available to assist you with any questions you may have.

3. Q: How do we make it successful?
A: Our Think Recycle program is designed to get the whole community involved! Marketing tools like posters and letters are available to help you promote the program within your organization and community!

4. Q: How will we know how much money we’ve earned?
A: Upon request we can send you statements that detail the amount of qualifying cartridges and cell phones received, the approximate amount of waste diverted from landfill, the number of trees planted, and the total funds generated. You can also call at any time to check on and/or redeem your funds.

5. Q: Can we plant the trees we’ve earned at our location?
A: We are partnered with Tree Canada and American Forests for the planting of trees. As a result, we donate money to Tree Canada and American Forests to sponsor the planting of trees on your behalf. Tree Canada and American Forests then use the funds to plant trees in local, regional, and national communities as part of their efforts promote the educational value of tree planting and maintenance. If you would more information on registering your location as one of their sponsored sites, please go to www.treecanada.ca, or www.americanforests.org.

6. Q: Why does another company offer us more money for our cartridges and cell phones?
A: There are companies that offer more money for certain types of cartridges or cell phones, however Think Recycle offers rebates on a greater number of items. As well, Think Recycle rebates are based on the fair market value of the cartridges and cell phones, while other companies offer flat rates. Think Recycle provides cost free shipping, collection boxes, and marketing materials to its participants to help them successfully promote their program.

7. Q: What is ISO 14001?
A: ISO 14001 is an environmental certification. It means that Greentec will maintain and continuously improve our comprehensive Environmental Management System to ensure a high standard of operations, and do our best to prevent pollution of all types. As part of this program, we will efficiently and effectively identify and resolve any potential environmental hazards associated with our operation. It assures you that cartridges and cell phones are recycled safely and appropriately. Absolutely none of the cartridges or cell phones that we receive are sent to landfill!

8. Q: We already recycle our printer cartridges through the school board. Can we still participate in the Think Recycle program?
A: Absolutely. Our Think Recycle program operates independently of programs associated with the school boards. Think Recycle aims to procure print cartridges from students, friends and neighbor's homes as well as their workplaces.

Unfortunately, no rebate can be rewarded for the return of broken cartridges.

13. Can we use our own boxes to ship the cartridges and cell phones?
A: Absolutely, Think Recycle provides prepaid shipping labels that can be affixed to any large cardboard box.  As well we will also recycle the cardboard as part of our service.

14. What are the minimum requirements for a shipment?
A: We ask that the box hold at least 7-10 laser cartridges depending on cartridge size. Inkjet and cell phones can be packaged with laser cartridges but should be separated in their own bag or box.
